Major engineering work

The staff of the MPLR have been very busy relaying the trackbed at the foot of Lavender Hill. The radius is now over 4′ from the original very tight 2.5′.  Also the PW crew have blasted a new cutting through the Chafford Gorge, removing the awkward reverse curve there.  Amazingly, the contractors are near completion of the station house and visitors centre as well as the new cafe’.  Lots of pictures coming soon, so please pop back.
